Water-based Diffusers use water and Scentsy Oil, with adjustable color, light and fragrance strength, so they double as soft mood lighting.
Smart Diffusers are waterless. They use Fragrance Cartridges and the Scentsy Home app to deliver consistent fragrance on a schedule you set.
Scentsy Air devices use a fan and Scentsy Pods for instant fragrance, with plug-in, tabletop and portable styles.
No. Each refill is made for its own system: Scentsy Oils go in Water-based Diffusers, Fragrance Cartridges go in Smart Diffusers, and Scentsy Pods work with Scentsy Air products.
Before you order a refill, check which type of diffuser you have.
Fill the reservoir with water, add a few drops of your favorite Scentsy Oil, then choose your light, color and fragrance settings.
Follow the fill line and the directions that come with your diffuser. Since Diffuser shades are sold separately, you can change the look whenever you like.
To schedule fragrance and adjust it from your phone, you'll need the Scentsy Home app and a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Smart Diffusers aren't compatible with 5GHz Wi-Fi. They also work with Alexa and Google Home voice control.
Without Wi-Fi, you can still use a Smart Diffuser manually, with limited functions.

Always unplug your diffuser before filling, emptying or cleaning it, and follow the care directions that came with it.
For water-based diffusers, empty any leftover water when you're done and wipe the reservoir dry, so it's fresh for the next fragrance.
